Waves and propagation :  

Implementation of the method of images applied to electrostatics. Analysis of the propagation of plane, spherical waves and Gaussian beams in some systems (duplexers, interferometers). Understanding the operation of reflection and wave transmission between two different media. Analysis and understanding the effects of dispersion and absorption in different environments. Analysis of systems using guidance structures (metal and dielectric waveguide). Implementation the digital finite element tool applied to electrostatics.

Analog electronics :

Choice of suitable models adapted to design electronics circuits. Analysis of electronic circuits and evaluation of limits. Design and dimensioning of a sample function. Analysis of a complex circuit, recognizing functions and calculation of their performances. Identification of the different trades and the challenges of electronics.

Principles and components of electrotechnology :

Analysis and modeling of devices and materials based on magnetic couplings. Pre-definition of an AC power transmission system (three-phase) with its main components. Design and evaluation of a DC motor.

Radio frequency electronics :

Specification of the characteristics and design of the various elements of a radio frequency communication chain. Prevention of interactions between these elements. Sizing of a communications chain according to specifications.

Treatment and conversion of electrical energy : 

Choice and implementation of an AC machine in the context of a stabilized speed application. Choice of power converter and adapt structure and control to a problem of energy conversion.
